Small change, big impact

A couple of weeks ago I painted part of our upstairs hall. I decided to paint the trim the same black that I'd painted the doors then chose a charcoal grey (Benjamin Moore, 2121-10 Grey) for the wall. It's a very dramatic transformation. The question is do I like it enough to carry it through the rest of the hall?
P.S. I'm making my next move cautiously - as you can see, I'm being watched...

Not knowing the layout / size / natural light situation for the remainder of the upstairs landing, its difficult to offer an opinion for the remainder of the space. But what you've done so far gets a big wow! from me ... it certainly has impact and feels very cohesive and deliberate vs just the doors in black. If you want to continue the color would painting the baseboards and the window trim black and the walls a 50% or even 20% mix of the Benjamin Moore, 2121-10 Grey work? As I said, that's just a guess without seeing the rest. Love love love those dogs.

Mirror is beautiful (more so in person) but I find the pine prayer bench too heavy for the 'colours' and space.
Perhaps a smaller, bench with wrought iron (lacy) legs:)

Interesting suggestion Robin. I've got to think about this one for a bit.
M - I hear you about the bench being too heavy - maybe a console table?

And is the mirror too low? Is it really as much bigger than the black one as it appears?

The darker color is dramatic; I might be afraid that it will make the hallway area too dark and therefore more dangerous, but perhaps you and your family are too young to worry about that.
